Get After It Media (GAIM), the national broadcast leader behind Retro TV, The Heartland Network, The Action Channel, The Family Channel, and Rev’n, today announced the appointment of David Gray as Chief Technology Officer & Vice President of Engineering (CTO/VPE).
In this expanded executive role, Gray will lead all technology and engineering strategy across GAIM’s national portfolio—driving infrastructure innovation, optimizing technical operations, and future-proofing broadcast systems that serve more than 88 million U.S. households.
A broadcast veteran with over four decades of engineering leadership, Gray is known for building resilient, IT-forward systems and scalable workflows that power high-performance media environments. Most recently, he served as VP/Director of Engineering at Meruelo Media, where he helped create the LA Super Cluster—a convergence of TV, radio, and production infrastructure anchored by state-of-the-art soundstages and transmission hubs across Southern California.
“David’s skill, clarity of purpose, vision, and deep understanding of where industry tech is headed is refreshing, exciting, and near clairvoyant,” said Joel Wertman, Co-President and CEO of GAIM. “He’s wired for speed, innovation, and precision—and we’re getting after it with him leading the charge.”
Otto Padrón, Co-President and COO of GAIM, added: “I’ve had the honor of building big things with David for more than a decade. He’s delivered systems that scale, solutions that endure, and results that speak for themselves. David is a rock in turbulent times—and a true force for innovation. With him on our team, we are futurizing GAIM 2.0.”
David Gray shared: “After more than 40 years in broadcast technology—designing systems, leading teams, and helping shape how content reaches the world—this moment feels like both a culmination and a new beginning. GAIM is beyond a media company—it’s a mission-driven innovation engine. We’re building what’s next at the Forward Edge of Technology. I’m all in.”
