Otto Padrón Joins Get After It Media as Co-President and COO
Get After It Media (GAIM), a rapidly growing leader in media entertainment, proudly announces the appointment of Otto Padrón as Co-Owner, Co-President, and Chief Operating Officer (COO). Padron’s addition to the team marks a significant milestone in GAIM’s expansion and continued evolution across its dynamic portfolio of national networks: Retro TV, The Heartland Network, Rev’n, The Family Channel, and The Action Channel.
In this newly defined structure, GAIM’s Founder and President Joel Wertman, will assume the role of Co-President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), focusing on high-level strategic direction, vision, business development, partnerships, governance, external relationships, and leading the company’s overall mission. Wertman will also continue as Chairman of the Board, providing invaluable guidance and leadership to the company’s continued growth and success.
Padrón steps into the role of Co-President and COO, where he will oversee day-to-day operations, implement strategy and manage the operational side of the company to ensure efficiency while executing corporate vision set by Wertman. Padrón will also join the board as Co-Owner, further galvanizing his leadership role in the company’s continued growth.
Padrón brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success in the media industry. His leadership is key to expanding the capacity, capability, and visibility of GAIM’s five networks which currently reach more than 88 million homes via 353 affiliates across more than 100 U.S. markets.
Prior to joining GAIM, Padrón led content and programming at Telemundo and Univision—two of the world’s most influential Spanish-language networks. He also served as President and CEO of Meruelo Media, where he transformed the company into a powerhouse television and radio super-cluster in Los Angeles, the nation’s most competitive media market.
An award-winning content creator and innovative leader, Padrón is also an inductee into the prestigious Emmy® Silver Circle Honor Society of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. He is celebrated for his ability to create culturally resonant programming that consistently connects with diverse audiences.

In addition to his extensive media career, Padrón is a highly decorated U.S. Army senior leader with multiple combat tours. He began his military career in the elite Airborne Ranger Regiment under the Special Operations Command and completed 38 years of distinguished service, ultimately serving as the Deputy Division Commander of the 91st Wild West Division. Today, Padron continues to exemplify excellence, discipline, and purpose in every role, including as an Army Reserve Ambassador, a distinguished assignment that carries the protocol and stature of a two-star General.
Padrón’s appointment comes at a key moment as GAIM is expanding its national reach and influence, with a focus on original programming, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships across its five broadcast television networks.
