Classic “Doctor Who” Returns to Retro TV With a Thanksgiving Week Marathon Takeover
A Weeklong Celebration Marks the Official
Homecoming of the Legendary Sci-Fi Series
Retro TV announced today that classic Doctor Who will make its official return to the network with a full Thanksgiving Week Marathon Takeover, bringing fans five nights of regenerations, monsters, and time-traveling chaos. The marathon airs Monday through Friday from 7 PM to 11 PM, marking the Doctor’s long-awaited homecoming to Retro TV.
“This is a moment our viewers have been waiting for,” said Joel Wertman, Co-President and CEO. “The Doctor has taken a few detours across the universe, but Thanksgiving Week is the perfect moment to bring classic Doctor Who back where it belongs.”
“The energy, the nostalgia, the sheer adventure of classic Doctor Who is exactly what Retro TV stands for,” added Otto Padrón, Co-President and COO. “This takeover celebrates a legacy series that helped define sci-fi storytelling. There is no better way to reintroduce the Doctor than with an all-in, five-night holiday event."
Originally debuting in 1963, classic Doctor Who remains one of the most influential sci-fi series ever produced. The show follows the Doctor — a mysterious Time Lord traveling through galaxies and eras in the iconic TARDIS — and has shaped generations with unforgettable villains, inventive world-building, and a legacy that continues to inspire fans around the world.
Following the Thanksgiving Week Marathon, classic Doctor Who will anchor Retro TV’s new schedule Monday through Friday from 7 PM to 9 PM. The series will also begin streaming on It's Real Good TV (Retro+) in coming weeks.
